2027 Team Placements
Team placements are tryouts for the 2027 Ausfunk competitive teams.
If you want to be on a competitive cheer or dance team in 2027, you need to attend team placements.
Team placements are not the time to trial a class or style.

Before you come
- Please complete the form before arriving
- Please arrive 20 minutes early for your team placement session
Which session should I attend?
Dance
Come along to the Style/s you’d like to try out for, in the session that matches the age you’ll be turning in 2027. Please note: Jazz team placements are for experienced, advanced dancers only.
Cheer
Attend the level you feel confident and skilled in, in the session that matches the age you’ll be turning in 2027. New to cheer? We recommend starting with our CheerSport team placements. If you want to try out for two levels or be considered for two cheer teams, please attend both sessions.

What to wear?
- Wear whatever you’re comfortable moving in — active wear is recommended
- Cheer or dance shoes if you have them (barefoot or sneakers are fine otherwise)
- Don’t forget a water bottle!
Can’t make team placement weekend?
No problem — just fill out the form and note which session(s) you’ll be away for.

How to know what level or session to come to
Come to the level that you are wanting to try out for.
If you’re a 2025 member don’t know what level to come to please ask your coach.
If you’re new to Ausfunk and don’t know what level to come to please contact us and we can guide you to the correct team placement session.
If you’re wanting to try out for two level teams please come to both team placement sessions.
Stunting, tumbling, jumps & flyers body positions will be assessed in these sessions

Come to the session of the style/s you’d like to try out for and the age you will be turning in 2026.
Come to the session of the style/s you’d like to try out for and the age you will be turning in 2025.
